A local resident spotted a bear entering a building (work shed). It was about 1 meter in size. Afterwards, the Yokote City Wildlife Damage Response Team confirmed there was no bear inside the building.

A single adult Asiatic black bear (Tsukinowaguma) was sighted by nearby residents; tracks over 20 cm were found nearby. Its subsequent whereabouts are unknown.
