Around 17:30 on February 24, a single bear about 1.3 meters long was sighted along Prefectural Route 27 at Oyosawa (Namioka), Aomori City. There were no injuries or damage; the city urged people to report sightings or tracks immediately and not to leave food waste outdoors.
